What is Dental Implant?
The dental implant is gaining popularity and increasingly common. It is used to replace one or more missing teeth. It can also support permanent bridges for multiple teeth or to be a better support for full or partial denture with clasps or retention bars. By replacing the tooth, it helps to prevent additional tooth loss that results in sunken facial appearances. To be a suitable candidate for dental implants, you must be healthy and have healthy gums and sufficient bone to support the implant(s). For patients with inadequate bone structure, an additional surgical procedure known as bone grafting is done to augment your bone so that the implants can be done at a later date. In general, a complete dental implant process involves multiple visits over a period of a few months.
