CAD/CAM SAME-DAY DENTAL CROWN
Time is priceless, and we understand that.
We provide same-day dental crown service to reduce the number of visits that a conventional crown fabrication process typically requires.
Technology streamlines the process, increases efficiency and productivity. We can have ceramic restorations completed all within the same day visit. With precision from the digital scan and mill, it means minimal adjustments are required after the ceramic restoration is adhered.
A same-day dental crown is made possible to save you time!

How is a dental crown done in a single visit?
First, our doctor will conduct a clinical assessment, including X-ray radiographs, to determine suitability.
A subsequent appointment is scheduled to allocate sufficient time for crown preparation under high magnification (dental operating microscope).
After the 3-dimensional scan is completed for both the upper and lower jaws, our doctor will design the shape of the crown to achieve optimum contact with the neighbouring tooth, reduce food trapping, and maximise and balance the bite for optimal chewing efficiency. With the digitally scanned image and the collected data, there will be no more icky, gooey impressions required.
The data is then sent to the miller that we have on-site for fabrication. It reduces human error to a minimum and significantly cuts down on time compared to the conventional method. The crown is manufactured with computer-aided milling technology. After milling, the crown is stained and glazed for aesthetic enhancement, and then sent to the furnace to increase its strength.
Finally, the zirconia crown is ready to be issued to the client on the same day or the following day.
CAD/CAM technology is one of the recent technologies in dentistry to enhance and improve the quality of dental ceramic restorations while minimizing the amount of time required for fabrication.
A ceramic crown could be fabricated within the same day, eliminating the need of a temporary restoration. It also means that you receive fewer injections. You only need to spend one visit to the dental clinic to get your dental crown or ceramic restoration on the same day.

Conventional Ceramic Restorations done in a Laboratory
- Multiple visits = multiple injections required
- The need to obtain impression with ickey gooey material of your tooth to facilitate fabrication of the dental crown or ceramic restorations in the off-site laboratory
- Increased human factors (risks) in fabrication process (courier reaction time, the workmanship of laboratory technicians, loss or damage of the ceramic restorations)
- Temporary restorations are made out of plastic and stick onto your tooth structure with a temporary adhesive and are not uncommon to fracture or dislodge before the final restoration is ready.
- Awkward moment about having temporary restorations damaged, and creating disruption to your busy schedule to go back to the clinic to replace it.
